Civil Engineer - Requirements and Optimization

Job DescriptionRequirements & Optimization Engineer shall assist in the assessment of facilities, requirements, and maintenance.
Technicians will foster communication between the maintenance personnel, customers, the project delivery team, and other key stakeholders to build applicable Asset Management Plans and other investment and execution plans.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Civil Engineer - Requirements and Optimization:
$105,000 to $125,000.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

Civil Engineer - Requirements and Optimization Responsibilities Include:
Reviews VAST, BUILDER, 5-year plans and other systems using asset management principles to identify requirements and optimize facility maintenance.
Ensures SMS data completeness, currency and integrity.
Prepares updates to Asset Management Plans.
Utilizes proactive data and information from SMS platforms to conduct performance analysis, risk-based sustainment decision recommendations, resource optimization and life-cycle planning.
Provides clear documentation and reports of findings.
Communicates information, recommendations, and corrective action plans to Project Engineer and Government Personnel.
Reviews as-build drawings and conduct facility system surveys.
Maintains system data for assigned projects in BUILDER, VAST, NexGen IT, Microsoft Office or other software, as specified by Government direction.
Coordinates and/or acts as a liaison between the Cherokee Nation client and their customers.
Simultaneously manages multiple projects.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned Civil Engineer - Requirements and Optimization Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in facility maintenance/management activities and design and construction activities (requirements development, cost estimating, project scheduling, life-cycle requirements planning, corrective action planning, preventative maintenance analysis).
Understanding of the military engineering and maintenance process.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proven knowledge of facility maintenance planning and execution is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills both oral, visual and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Understanding of GIS, VAST, BUILDER and NEXGEN IT (TRIRIGA) highly desired.
Skilled in E4Clicks or other cost estimating software.
Skilled in MS Project, AutoCADD, Primavera, and Visio a plus.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical designs and drawings is required.
Proven ability with key facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofs, walls, building appurtenances, and fire alarm/suppression systems).
Ability to successfully pass drug screening and a federal background check is required.
