Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Optimization

Job DescriptionRequirements & Optimization (R&O) engineering support includes requirements collection and validation, building system analysis, life-cycle requirements planning, resource optimization, preventative and corrective maintenance analysis and planning.
R&O Engineers shall assist in the review and updates for Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and support assessment of facilities and infrastructure in accordance with those AMPs.
R&O Engineers will foster communication between the 354 CES operations and maintenance personnel, other members of the 354 CES, Eielson AFB customers, and other key stakeholders to build applicable Asset Management Plans and other investment and execution plans.
R&O Engineers will use Sustainment Management Systems to conduct performance analysis, risk-based sustainment decision making, resource optimization and life-cycle requirements planning.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Optimization:
$105,000 - $125,000Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Optimization Responsibilities Include:
Review BUILDER, 5-year plans and other systems using asset management principles to identify requirements and optimize facility maintenance Ensure SMS data completeness, currency and integrity Prepare updates to Asset Management Plans Utilize data and information from SMS platforms to proactively conduct performance analysis, risk-based sustainment decision recommendations, resource optimization and life-cycle planning Provide technical expertise and project management advice and guidance Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of professional studies, reports, and analysis Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and construction managers Define and Develop engineering project requirements and translate them into Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work Prepare reports and recommendations for project sponsors and stakeholders Oversees the development, evaluation or review of plans and criteria for a variety of activities; assesses the feasibility of proposed plans, projects, and equipment Evaluate information against a set of industry standards Simultaneously manage technical reviews of multiple design & construction projects Review as-build drawings and conduct facility system surveys Maintain system data for assigned projects in BUILDER, VAST, NexGen IT, Microsoft Office or other software, as specified by Government direction Conducts Quality Assurance reviews of on-going engineering projects and provides reports and recommendations to the client Performs other job-related duties as required.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Optimization Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's Degree is desirable Minimum 5 years' experience in design and construction activities Registration as a Professional Engineer is not required Experience with key facility mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm/suppression systems, etc) is required Experience with design and construction of high-interest, high-visibility Air Force projects is desirable Excellent communication skills in the oral, visual, and written mediums Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); Experience utilizing BUILDERTM Sustainment Management System and Air Force NextGenIT is a plus Experience with MS Project, AutoCADD is a plus Ability to successfully pass drug screening and a federal background check is required Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company Information:
